Resources
Sharkra Academy of Aesthetics prides itself on maintaining the most up to date library of resources including text books, DVD's, resource manuals, product manuals and other industry literature. The academy is more than happy to loan students these resources for a maximum of two nights. Only one resource at a time may be loaned by the one student and must be discussed with staff prior to any resource leaving the academy.
Products, Facilities & Equipment
All products, facilities and equipment are free for students to use with the permission of the trainer. No machinery or other equipment is to be used without trainer supervision. Students are required to follow all user guidelines in relation to products, facilities and equipment, failure to do so may result in injury to the student or fellow class mates and furthermore may damage academy property. Any machinery, products, facilities and equipment are the property of the academy and are not permitted to be taken from the premises.
Enrolement Policy
All enquiries are to be made to either Claire Teirney (senior educator) or Tanya Ahmed (Director/Principle). Please do not hesitate to call the academy for any further information you should require. An enrolment interview is part of our enrolment procedure, should you then decide to proceed with enrolment you are required to return your enrolment form along with your deposit to secure your position at the academy.

National Recognition Policy
It is the policy of the academy to recognise the ATQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by any other Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
Student Dress Code & Conduct
- UNIFORM - Your uniform is a reflection of yourself and the Academy. It should always be clean, ironed and smell fresh. The uniform is not permitted to be worn outside the Academy and must be washed every 2nd day at the very least, every day is preferable. Black pants and black tops are the only colours to be worn with your uniform.
- MAKE UP - Make up is to be applied lightly. A simple yet effective coverage is acceptable. Heavy foundations and eyeliners are not permitted.
- SHOES - Closed toe, black, flat shoes are to be worn at all times whilst at the Academy. No decorative shoes will be allowed.
- HAIR - Hair must be clean, pulled off the face and put up either in a ponytail or bun. No loose hair will be permitted.
- HANDS and NAILS - All students must keep nails reasonably short, clean at all times and if polished the polish must not be chipped, smudged or faded. Only French and nude polish are permitted.
- JEWELLERY - Students are permitted to wear a watch, a simple bangle or bracelet, a ring and a simple pair of studs.
- HYGIENE - Students are to shower everyday, use deodorant and apply a small amount of perfume nothing too strong. Brush teeth after meals to avoid bad breath and avoid highly flavoured foods such as garlic and onions.
- SMOKING - Smoking in uniform will not be tolerated at all. Students caught smoking in their uniforms will incur and automatic warning. Those who smoke are to brush teeth, wash hands and apply a light fragrance to avoid the smell of cigarettes being detected.
All students are expected to attend at least 95% of classes. Failure to do so may result in the student not being issued their certificate of attainment. If a student is unwell, a telephone call to the principle or educator is vital. Do not text, send an email or allow another person to make the call.
